What is your motivation?
- Hobby photographer?
- Want to see if your pictures are good enough?
- Measure the commercial value?
- Are you after some challenge?
- Want to make some money from your pictures?
To start with you should sign up with a few microstock sites, here are the big four ordered by your expected profit. Before signing up, compare their features (links in the menu to the left).
Depending on what your strengths are, you will probably like the challenge and money from www.istockphoto.com, like the fast feedback from eu.fotolia.com, enjoy the many downloads from www.shutterstock.com and the easiness of www.dreamstime.com.
Note: By clicking the links I might get some referral credits depending on their program. If you don't like that ("referral" finances my photo site), you can always browse the site directly. In any case, clicking on a referral link will never put you in any disadvantage.
