Editorial

A relatively new feature of microstock is "editorial" pictures. I.e. pictures that has no model relase. This sounds fantastic right? Well...yes if you are a paparazzi. It means you can sell pictures of for example celebrities with no model release but you can only sell to newpapers etc. The pictures cannot be used commercially in ads.

Editorial is growing fast with pictures of sports, politics, events, celebrities and even commercial pictures.

- Hang on, I've been told to always remove logotypes etc when taking pictures of for example cars.

Yes, but for editorial logos and brands are ok. The buyer can't use the pictures for advertising witch is quite limiting for your sales numbers.
